Mood Board

Above, I have organised three rows of Film Magazines. As a group we chose Empire.
The first row at the top conveys the tradition cover with an original red masthead. The films are fairly recent and all have the title of the film across the front of the page with the heading in huge block capitals. They also depict the main character/s in the film clearly advertised as well as promotion for other upcoming films.
The second row depicts the special edition and collector’s edition covers. They also have the main character as a central figure (in a mid-shot or close up shot). The colours of the masthead vary in colour to emphasise the unique cover.
The third row also has a central figure, however, instead of the character from the film being depicted, the actors or their characters are pictured on the cover (however, they are taken out of the film and their natural surrounding) this tends to be a more studio type shot instead of an image taken straight from the film.

We liked the idea of mixing the 2nd and 3rd elements together.
