Iconic Shower Scenes - inluded 'Psycho' and 'The Shining

I'm always looking out for influences in Horror. I found an interesting article in my daily newspaper and realised the dramatic difference of how the Horror genre has changed through time and become more post-modern.

Establishing Shots:

Earlier last week the UK experienced A LOT of heavy snow fall. I thought this really captured the chill of winter and would be amazing for filming establishing shots. The dark barren landscapes give the feeling that the film is set in October (as mentioned in the narrative).
